Discovering Worship

The heart of worship expresses itself with an attitude of thankfulness. It recognizes the benefits and blessings that God has provided us. Thankfulness is filled with appreciation – admiration for Who He is and what He has done. As we cultivate an “attitude of gratitude,” we heighten our awareness of God’s presence. It is what enables us to “enter into His gates.” It’s within the attitude of thankfulness that we sense God’s presence and where we DISCOVER Him actively working for our good.

I LOVE THIS!! When I read this, I was reminded of your sermon where you said – “if our relationships with our loved ones are not good (or where we want them to be) – then we need to check our relationship with God”!

This reminds me of THAT sermon b/c when we are THANKFUL and have an “attitude of gratitude” towards God – we will find we are more THANKFUL for our loved ones! Then maybe those socks on the floor, and the cereal box left opened for the 100th time – won’t seem SO BIG! Because we are “grateful”!

Sometimes we take His mercy for granted. It is good to be reminded to be thankful for “ALL” He does. Blessing
